We got confirmation on six newly-cast characters this weekend, bringing our total for Season 2 up to 10 brand new Westerosi people. Here's a look at each actor and the character they are playing. His work on “Thrones” inspired a world tour, in which the composer performed music from the series live in 24 cities from 2017 to 2019. Otto's mischievous nature and his spying on Rhaenyra eventually cost him his role as Hand, only to return years later after Alicent had his replacement killed. The Hightower's power in Westeros continued to grow as Viserys weakened until Otto was eventually able to have his grandson Aegon crowned King after his death. Matt Smith brought Prince Daemon Targaryen to life as a cruel, ruthless, and power-hungry renowned warrior. Although once heir to the Iron Throne, a fallout with his brother, King Viserys I, led to his replacement.

Harrold is tasked with watching over and protecting Princess Rhaenyra. Ser Harrold later serves as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard until his resignation following the death of King Viserys I Targaryen. Mysaria is a former dancer and prostitute who has risen from her beginnings as a victim of slavery and trafficking to become Prince Daemon Targaryen's most trusted ally and paramour. At the conclusion of the first episode, Prince Daemon departs King's Landing on the back of his dragon Caraxes with Mysaria. After the end of their romance, Mysaria takes up a new line of work as a spymaster in King's Landing and is dubbed the "White Worm".

The couple had three children, Aegon, Aemond, and Helaena, but none were named heir to the Iron Throne, with Rhaenyra holding that honor. Although initially Alicent wasn't bothered by this, she became convinced Rhaenyra was plotting against her family, and, as such, conspired to have Aegon named as heir. Otto gathers the great houses of Westeros to affirm their allegiance. After Rhaenyra cuts short her tour of Westeros, Daemon introduces the princess to the Street of Silk after dark.

He's also Rhaenyra's biggest challenge to the throne as Viserys' firstborn son. Spokes is an English screen and stage actor who has starred in several shows including the soap opera Casualty and the miniseries The Ipcress File. After HotD, he's set to appear in the third Magic Mike movie, Magic Mike's Last Dance. Macmillian is a British actor and writer who has a prolific career across the stage and screen. He began his film career with appearances in Hollywood films including Hanna, The Dark Knight Rises, World War Z, and Maleficent.

Rhys Ifans (Otto Hightower)

The daughter of Lord Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, the sister of Ser Laenor Velaryon and, later, the second wife of Prince Daemon Targaryen and the mother of his two daughters, Lady Baela and Lady Rhaena Targaryen. Laena is a dragonrider whose mount is the largest living dragon in the world, Vhagar. Macmillan, who portrays an older Ser Laenor, is best known for his roles in Mitchell and Webb sitcom Back, Critical, Famalam, Hang Ups, and Chewing Gum.

Obviously, the show will continue to track the Targaryen lineage about 300 years prior to near-extinction level on Game of Thrones. So, we’ll see the “Dance of the Dragons,” so nicknamed by the civilians of Westeros, take place with mass casualties as a result.

He will need to take the field on his family's behalf in the war to come. Alys is living at Harrenhal working as a wet nurse when the war comes to the Riverlands.
